Mr. William T. Corbin founded Corbins Service Electric in March 1975 based on his personal values of integrity, quality and service which have consistently earned the Company an excellent reputation for meeting and exceeding our clients' project needs and intents. An ownership transition that began in 2001 with the naming of Mark Fleming as CEO & President and Lisa Autino as CFO & Treasurer was completed in 2008 when Mr. Corbin retired from the Company and full ownership passed to Mark and Lisa.

 

In this almost 34 year span of time, Corbins Electric has become one of the largest, non-union Arizona-based electrical subcontractors annually employing an average of more than 300 employees with contract revenues in the mid $40 million range and established offices in Phoenix, Arizona and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 

As a full-service electrical subcontractor, we perform work in a variety of commercial and industrial arenas with low to medium voltage applications. This work is accomplished through our dedicated, client focused market sector groups which include Health Care / Data Centers , Commercial, Public Works, Manufacturing, Sustainable / Renewable Energy and Service. Our work includes comprehensive pre-construction, design assistance, BIM, CAD, detailing, pre-fabrication and scheduling services in addition to our installation and project completion process.

Building Information Modeling

Corbins has been working with BIM type projects since 2005 and currently employs a full time staff of 7 detailers / designers and 1 full time scheduler.

• We have the ability and the software to do all necessary and desired coordination of the 3D modeling and conflict resolution in-house. Our facility is set up intentionally for this purpose.
• We have learned with our experience that to do this work effectively, we must utilize multiple software platforms to have the capability to translate to whatever platform may be necessary to complete our work. We either work in 3D models or we create our own model format whichever best serves the intended purpose. Our software includes: NavisWorks Manage 2009; Auto Cad 2007, 2008, 2009; Auto Cad MEP; Revit MEP; Bentley Microstation; Bentley Build Electrical Systems and Bentley TriForma.
• To more effectively use our resources, coordination can be accomplished both on site and remotely from our office location. We work with all the trades involved and as needed to achieve this. We send the coordination drawings to be built to the field by delivering the exact information from the coordination effort by several media types including e-mail; color full scale prints; 3D models; and, 2D shop drawings. Corbins Field Supervisors have on-site computers with the capability of viewing the entire model in 3D to eliminate coordination confusion.
